Hello, and welcome to the Katrina Twitty Voice Studio! We are pleased to have you learn about and join the exciting opportunities in Professional, Vocal Performance Instruction and Audition Preparation.
As you explore your individual talent through the joys of singing, you will learn to develop your voice through the use of healthy techniques that include positive posture and breathing, as well as powerful vocal production and stage presentation techniques that can be applied to any style of music, including Classical, Musical Theater, Folk, Pop/R&B, Jazz, Country, Gospel/Contemporary Christian and Disney.

Katrina Twitty, soprano, has been a resident of the Denver area for the
past twelve years. In addition to teaching private vocal performance
instruction, audition preparation and beginner piano at the Katrina
Twitty Voice Studio,
she currently teaches as Adjunct Instructor of Voice at the Lamont
School of Music, University of Denver and Arapahoe Community College
Department of Music.
As a member of the National Association of
Teachers of Singing (NATS), Ms. Twitty's skills and experience
include over ten years of teaching, from the private home studio to the
performance stage and college classroom, as a voice teacher, choir
director, vocal/instrumental ensemble conductor, musical director, opera
scenes director, composer, vocal/instrumental performance coach,
choreographer and piano accompanist.
As a soprano, her singing and
stage performance experience spans over two decades, having performed
regionally and internationally, including Fiordiligi in Cosi fan
tutte, Cunegonde in Candide, Queen of
the Night in Die Zauberflöte, Mrs. Ford in The Merry Wives of
Windsor
and Cleopatra in Handel's Giulio Cesare. Also performing the
roles of
Marsinah in Kismet, Musetta in La Boheme and Lucy in The
Telephone, Ms.
Twitty has performed with the Passaggio Opera Company of
Denver, Opera of the Ozarks, Utah Festival Opera, Opera Theatre of the Rockies,
Mountain Chamber Music Society of Denver and the International Institute
of Vocal Arts in Chiari,
Italy.
Ms. Twitty's honors include placing as a Finalist in the 2004
and 2007
Rocky Mountain Region Metropolitan Opera Auditions and Denver Lyric
Opera Guild Competition. Katrina Twitty holds a
Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Denver
Lamont School of Music.
Her heart’s deepest passion is in guiding
and inspiring students of singing to discover and develop his/her own
unique gift of voice and performance toward becoming both leaders and
teachers in the music and arts community, thus impacting the listening
ears and hearts in life-changing ways of our current and future
generations.
